Hilton Garden Inn opens 100th hotel in Greater China

Global hospitality company Hilton has opened the Hilton Garden Inn Beihai Jiafu, located in the seaport city of Beihai in China. This marks the company's 100th Hilton Garden Inn in the Greater China region. The 199-key property is 2km from Beihai High-Speed Railway Station and 6km from Beihai Fucheng Airport. It is also a 20-minute drive to Beihai International Passenger Port. “The opening of the Beihai Jiafu Hilton Garden Inn not only demonstrates our brand's rapid growth but also reinforces our long-term commitment to the Chinese market,” says Qian Jin, Hilton’s president of Hilton Greater China and Mongolia, in a Dec 13 press release. Hilton opened its first Hilton Garden Inn property in Shenzhen in 2014. Since then, the brand has expanded to various parts of China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guilin and Aksu. More Hilton Garden Inn properties are expected to open in China in 2025, including debuts in tourist destinations such as Zhangjiajie, Ordos, Huangshan, Shanwei and Jinan. In June, Hilton announced the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Gen A, with initial locations planned across Nanjing, Chengdu, Chengde and Jinan. The new properties will contribute to Hilton Garden Inn’s expansion across the wider Asia Pacific region. Clarence Tan, senior vice president of development, Asia Pacific at Hilton, says that over 200 Hilton Garden Inn properties are under development across Apac.
