More facilities to open at Pasir Ris Mall including polyclinic, bus interchange

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Following a soft opening on June 12, Pasir Ris Mall at 7 Pasir Ris Central had its grand opening on July 22. The mall was officiated at a ceremony attended by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister of State for the Prime Minister’s Office Desmond Tan, and Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC Sharael Taha. The mall has over 150 retail offerings, including food court Cantine by Kopitiam, a Cold Storage supermarket and a MindChamps Preschool outlet. It is part of an integrated development by Allgreen Properties and Kerry Properties which also includes the 487-unit condo Pasir Ris 8.

More facilities in and around the mall will be progressively completed in the coming year, including a polyclinic that will open by the end of 2024. Additionally, the mall will be linked to a new bus interchange slated for completion in 2025. The bus interchange will be part of the new Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, which will also include the future Cross Island MRT Line. Meanwhile, the upcoming Central Greenway pathway will be completed in stages, eventually connecting the mall directly to Pasir Ris Park and the beach. To complement this new connection, Pasir Ris Mall will be equipped with end-of-trip facilities, including bicycle parking and shower areas. During his speech at the event, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean said that the mall and its surrounding amenities are part of the plans to rejuvenate Pasir Ris, launched in 2017. He adds that all original precincts in the neighbourhood have or are due to undergo renewal, including lift replacement works and HDB’s Home Improvement Programme. The mall has also been fitted with green features, such as energy-efficient building materials and lighting and mandatory green leases for tenants, earning the mall the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award, says Kuok Khoon Ean, chairman of Kuok Group and Allgreen Properties. According to BCA, green leases are agreements between landlords and tenants that outline environmental objectives for improving, managing, and occupying a building sustainably.
